Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 with English (passing marks) and minimum 40% aggregate in three elective/core subjects (40% relaxation for SC/ST as per rules).
- Minimum age: 17 years (as on 31 December 2025). Candidates born after 31-12-2008 are not eligible.
- 10+2 from recognized boards or recognized State Open School / NIOS are acceptable (Science stream preferable).
- Candidates with ANM (10+2 vocational revised after 2001) from INC-recognized schools are eligible (certificate required).
- Applicants must be declared medically fit by the medical board of Swami Dayanand Hospital before admission.
Entrance Exam: Format & Marks Distribution
Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT). Duration: 2 hours. Total marks: 100 (100 MCQs). No negative marking.

Note: If a student is unable to complete GNM within 3 years, an additional fee of ₹3,000 per extra year will be charged. All charges are subject to change as per Delhi Nursing Council guidelines. No refunds after admission.
Selection & Counselling
- Selection based strictly on merit list of the entrance test (combined merit list displayed on MCD website & notice board).
- Counselling rounds: 1st round for ranks 1–100 (detailed schedule in prospectus). Physically handicapped candidates counselled in first round.
- Candidates must bring original documents and two attested copies at counselling; originals will be deposited at time of admission.
Hostel, Rules & Amenities
This is a residential programme: hostel accommodation is provided based on merit and distance from school (Aadhaar as address proof). Hostel mess membership is compulsory; mess charges payable in advance. Students must follow hostel rules, maintain discipline, and meet attendance (80% theory & practical) and clinical experience (100%) requirements.
Important Notes
- Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
- Marks calculation: best three elective/core subjects (excluding English) will be used for percentage calculation; no rounding up (e.g., 39.9% will NOT be treated as 40%).
- Issuance of admit card is not a guarantee of admission; final admission is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
- All decisions of the school/hospital authority regarding admission are final and binding.
